TXOKO Cottage

Txoko Cottage (pronounced "choco") - the unusual name is taken from the Basque word for gastronomic eating place. There are 3 bedrooms, all with new Vi-Spring beds and Egyptian cotton bed linen, and with vaulted beamed ceilings throughout.

The 18' x 18' lounge has panoramic views of the countryside through the floor-to-ceiling glass doors that make up an entire wall, framing the very best of the scenic views towards the Mottisfont Estate. There are two very comfortable new 3-seater leather sofas, and a flat screen TV and DVD player. A pot bellied stove provides extra warmth on frosty evenings.

The kitchen is well-equipped and has views across the fields to the village church. As well as a halogen hob and a new oven, there is a fridge, freezer, microwave and dishwasher. It is spacious with lovely oak furniture including an oak table seating 8, a sideboard and a butcher's block. It offers family dining and the option for you to entertain guests. The large utility room contains a washing machine and space for coats and boots etc.

Originally a 19th Century stable block, Curlews Farm Cottages have been re-built and furnished to extremely high standards. They benefit from under floor heating and are well insulated, so very comfortable all year round.

They have much character with high vaulted ceilings, lending a luxurious and refined ambiance to relax in. Both of our cottages can enjoy a WiFi internet connection. All of the accomodation is on one level, with no steps, so the cottage has very good access for all.

One bedroom is a double, whilst the other two bedrooms contain zip-and-link beds, and so they layout perfectly as either a twin room or king-size double bed. We have a highchair and cot available on request. The large bathroom boasts a double-ended bath and large shower.

Txoko Cottage has an enclosed garden that is dog-proof, and both cottages can use the pool-side patio area, with a charcoal Weber BBQ. The shared outdoor pool is heated during the warmer months. There is a separate wet room, toilet and basin adjacent to the swimming pool.

Txoko Cottage and the pool-side area boast panoramic views of the countryside - the very best of the scenic views towards the Mottisfont Estate. The beautiful Test Valley is renowned for its ancient woodlands, peaceful water meadows and gently rolling chalk hills.
